Description

A large, long-lived insectoid, the Walker's relatively small chitinous body is supported by tall treelike limbs, well camouflaged in any stand of trees. Its limbs reseble dead trunks and branches. It waits unmoving and silent in forested areas, using ambush skills to spear down into pery that passes below. When it does move, it moves very slowly and usually under the cover of ddark. Its pointed and barbed limbs are able to hold struggling prey still as they lose blood. The middle leg on each side is retracted and can spear down to lift prey to the walker's mouth. Each leg on an adult is between 10-20 feet tall, suspending its smaller body high above ground, often held hidden in clusters of leaves or close to the trunk of a large tree.
