Legendary Resistance (3/day). If Vyrian fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead.

Scarred Eyesight. Vyrian has disadvantage on all Wisdom (Perception) checks.

Vaporescence. Vyrian can choose to move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. He takes 5 (1d10) force damage if he ends his turn inside an object. Vyrian can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and creatures are blinded while occupying the same space as Vyrian.

Actions

Multiattack. Vyrian makes one Bite attack and two Claw attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 18 (2d10 + 7) piercing damage plus 9 (2d8) thunder damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 14 (2d6 + 7) slashing damage.

Roaring Breath (Recharge 5–6). Vyrian exhales a roar of thunderous energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 81 (18d8) thunder damage and is incapacitated until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t incapacitated.

Spellcasting. Vyrian casts one of the following spells, requiring no spell components and using Intelligence as his spellcasting ability (spell save DC 20):

1/day each: blur, darkness, etherealness, gust of wind, pass without trace

Bonus Actions

Smokestep. As a bonus action, Vyrian can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space he can see.

Legendary Actions

Vyrian can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. Vyrian regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Detect. Vyrian makes a Wisdom (Perception) check.

Claw. Vyrian makes one Claw attack.

Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). Vyrian beats his wings. Each creature within 10 feet of Vyrian must succeed on a DC 22 Dexterity saving throw or take 14 (2d6 + 7) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Vyrian can then fly up to half his flying speed.

Spellcasting (Costs 2 Actions). Vyrian casts one of his available spells.

Smokescreen (Costs 3 Actions). Vyrian creates a 100-foot-radius sphere of smoke centered on himself. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured for any creature other than Vyrian. The smoke lasts for 1 hour, or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it.
