Avoidance. If the blur mantis is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.
Keen Smell. The blur mantis has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on smell.
Pounce. If the blur mantis moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 18 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the blur mantis can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.
Blur. The blur mantis projects a magical illusion that makes its from shift and blur, causing attack rolls against it to have disadvantage. If it is hit by an attack, this trait is disrupted until the end of its next turn. This trait is also disrupted while the blur mantis is incapacitated or has a speed of 0.
Multiattack. The blur mantis makes two attacks with its forelimbs and two with its claws.

Description
This creature is a mutated version of its kind. They tend to lead small packs of regular blur mantises. Despite their great size, they move through the tree tops in near silence, barely disturbing a branch as they pass by.
