Wings: creatures in a 15 ft cone must make a Dex save DC 15 or be pushed 10 ft away. Creatures take 4d8 thunder damage or half on a successful save.

Breath weapon: creatures in a 15 ft cone must make a Dex save DC 15. Creatures take 5d6 acid damage or half on a successful save. Recharge 4-6

Reactions

swarm cover:

If a swarm the archdrae has deployed is within melee reach of it and its attacker and has more than half its health the archdrae can opt to use the swarm as cover such that the swarm instead takes damage and the archdrae does not.

This does not work if the archdrae is vulnerable or if the swarm is immune.

Legendary Actions

the archdrae has 3 legendary actions

Desperate (takes 3 actions):

If the archdrae is at less than a quarter of its health it can opt to do this.

The archdrae can use its breath weapon  and wing attack, and it can summon one more swarm (even if it already has 3). If the archdrae does this it must spend its entire movement getting as far away from its attackers as it can and must do the same on its subsequent turn.

Description

When a dragon in poly morphed form mates with a drider the union sometimes produces an archdrae instead of a half dragon. The offspring has the appearance of a drider whose upper body looks more like a dragonborn. Often they sport four large leathery wings on it's body ( two on it's upper shoulders two on it's abdomen). Their bodies are completely covered in scales allowing them to embrace a more amphibious lifestyle. Thanks to their drider heritage they can also spin webs and thus often reside in damp caves. Unlike typical half dragons they are much more feral in nature and have paws not hands. This prevents them from being able to use weapons.

Scarred for life:

Dragons who disobey the rulings of tiamat the dragon queen are punished via their next of kin. Archdrae serve as one of many examples of what that punishment looks like. If these creatures are lucky enough to live into adulthood they are damned into a life of fleeing hunters which often consist of their own family. Who want to rid the world of their mistakes. Drider and dragon alike disown the archdrae as it signals further failings on their part.

An archdrae lair:

Archdrae typically reside in partially flooded or damp caves. The cave is covered in webs that the archdrae has spun and frequently have corpses stuck to it. Pools of water store hoards of gems and metals that the archdrae claim from fallen enemies. Archdrae don't live alone infestations of spiders and other cave dwelling arachnids reside within taking advantage of the added protection. In turn these creatures do their share of protecting the territory.

Lair and Lair Actions

on initiative order 20 the archdrae can deploy or move a swarm as follows:

T he archdrae can send a command to a nearby swarm of spiders to attack. The swarm fills a 15 ft radius centered on a point the archdrae chooses within 60 ft of itself. The swarm spreads around corners and remains until dismissed or if the archdrae dies. The swarm is hidden in darkness and only creatures with darkvision can see it. The archdrae can deploy a Max of 3 swarms at a time. Alternatively the archdrae can summon a pair of phase or giant spiders (as one of it's 3 Max).
