Description
Beavers are large, semiaquatic rodents known for constructing dams and lodges from the trees they chew down for building material. They have stout bodies with large heads, long chisel-like incisors, brown or gray fur, hand-like front feet, webbed back feet and flat, scaly tails. The dams they build impede the flow of water, altering the environment to a more hospitable state to a wider range of creatures.
Their soft, waterproof fur makes their pelts a popular material for clothing, and can sell for up to 2 gp each. Their meat has been compared to lean pork.
