Spellcasting. Avery is a 7th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15, +7 to hit with spell attacks). Avery has the following spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): mage hand, message, thaumaturgy, vicious mockery

1st level (4 slots): disguise self, healing word, hellish rebuke, sleep, unseen servant

2nd level (3 slots): crown of madness, darkness, misty step, shatter, suggestion

3rd level (3 slots): counterspell, major image, sending

4th level (1 slot): confusion

Actions

Rapier. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.

Bonus Actions

Bardic Inspiration. Avery can give one ally of her within 60 feet of her a bardic inspiration die. Within the next 10 minutes, any time the ally makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, the creature can add 1d8 to the result. A creature cannot have more than one bardic inspiration die at once.

Reactions

Cutting Words. When a creature within 60 feet of Avery that can hear her makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, Avery can roll 1d8 and subtract the number from the roll.

Countercharm(1/day). When a creature within 60 feet of Avery causes one of her allies within 60 feet of her to save against being charmed or frightened, she can attempt to reverse the effect on the creature. The creature must make a DC 15 Charisma saving throw, or have its charm or frighten effect fail, and attempt a save against its own effect. On a failure, Avery is treated as the caster.
