Keen Hearing and Smell. The warbounder has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell.

Standing Leap. The moorbounder’s long jump is up to 45 feet and its high jump is up to 25 feet, with or without a running start.

Faultless Tracker. The warbounder is given a quarry by its master. The quarry can be a specific creature or object the master is personally acquainted with, or it can be a general type of creature or object the master has seen before. The warbounder knows the direction and distance to its quarry as long as the two of them are on the same plane of existence. The warbounder can have only one such quarry at a time. The retriever also always knows the location of its master.

Bound. The warbounder mk1 is magically bound to an amulet. As long as the warbounder mk1 and its amulet are on the same plane of existence, the amulet's wearer can telepathically call the warbounder mk1 to travel to it, and the warbounder mk1 knows the distance and direction to the amulet.

 

Actions

Multiattack. The warbounder mk1 makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage plus 5 (1d10) lightning damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) slashing damage.

Reactions

Adaptive Armor. When the warbounder mk1 takes damage it can use its reaction to lose all resistances and gains resistance to the first damage type that damaged it.

Magical Capacitor. The warbounder mk1 has three charges of magical energy stored. Using its reaction it can cast the shield spell on itself or its rider at the cost of one charge. These charges refill at dawn.

Description

This moorbounder has been modified and enhanced with ancient technologies to give it improved armor and durability while maintaining its agility and speed.
