  • 1st Level (4 slots). Bane, Inflict Wounds, Hell's Lash, Immobilizing Interdict
  • 2nd Level (3 slots). Blindness/Deafness, Scorching Ray, Hold Person, Burning Halo
  • 3rd Level (3 slots). Haste, Lightning Bolt, Counterspell, Dispel Magic, Interdict Iteritas
  • 4th level (3 slots). Wall of Fire, Death Ward, Dimension Door

Improved Critical. Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.

Actions

Multiattack. The gladiator makes two melee attacks with his Greatsword, or one with his shield and one one-handed Greatsword.

Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft, one target. Hit (3d8+5) slashing or piercing damage if two-handed, or (3d6+5) if one handed.

Shield Bash. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (2d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.

Infernal Conduit. (Recharge 5-6), Melee Spell Attack: touch. Target makes a DC17 Constitution save. On a failure, the target takes 30 (6d6+60) necrotic damage. Alternatively, instead of taking the damage, Aston can choose to give them one level of exhaustion instead.

Baleful Interdiction (5/LR). Bonus action, burn a spell slot to place a number of seals on an enemy within 30 feet, equal to the level of slot consumed. When you or an ally hits a target you can see with a seal on them, you may consume the seals as a reaction, inflicting 3d6 necrotic damage on the target per seal. If you are within 30 feet of the target, you heal one point of damage for each die of damage your seals inflict. When you attack an enemy with an unspent seal on them, you gain an additional 1d6 damage.

Duke of Hell (1/week). You can summon a devil to serve you for one minute. This devil will obey your commands to the best of its ability. It acts on the same initiative as you, and may act and move on the turn it is summoned on. If you die or fall unconscious, the devil returns to hell. Roll a d12 to determine what devil is summoned. 1-7 Barbed Devil, 8-11 Chain Devil, 12 Bone Devil.

Invoke Authority. (1/LR) Aston can take either the Devastator action or Compel the Weak, as detailed below.

Devastator. Every enemy within 30 feet takes 1d8 damage per seal on them. This does not consume the seals.

Compel the Weak. Choose a target. If their strength is less than yours they make a Wisdom save. If they fail they attack their closes ally.

Infernal Insight (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). As a bonus action, this creature gains advantage on all ability checks and attack rolls it makes until the end of the current turn.

Vexing Escape (1/Day). As a reaction when this creature takes damage, it reduces that damage to 0 and teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space it can see.

Reactions

Parry. The gladiator adds 3 to its AC against one melee attack that would hit it. To do so, the gladiator must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
