Dive Attack. If the aarakocra is flying and dives at least 30 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an extra 3 (1d6) damage to the target.
Lightning Lancer. If the aarakocra is flying and makes a ranged weapon attack with its javelin, its effective range is doubled for that attack. If this attack is a critical hit, the target must succeed on a DC 9 Constitution saving throw or be stunned until the end of its next turn.
Storm Flight. The aarakocra does not suffer negative effects from strong wind and, while flying in such weather, can add its proficiency bonus to Dexterity saving throws and to its AC (included in its AC).
Talon. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) slashing damage.
Javelin. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 30/120 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) piercing damage and 7 (2d6) lightning damage. The javelin ceases to be magical after being used once. The aarakocra carries three javelins.
Description
If the party retrieves any unthrown javelins from the Anchorites' corpses, the javelins are single use magic weapons with the same effect. They are called Spines of Talos.
