Multiattack. The Ashigaru makes two melee attacks.
Halberd. Melee: +4 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d10 + 2) slashing damage.
Shortsword. Melee: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d6 + 2) piercing damage.
Set Weapon. Ashigaru can use an action on their turn to prepare, or set their polearm against a foe moving toward them. A weapon becomes unset if they move or take any action after setting it. If a target enters their reach while the ashigaru have the weapon set, they can use your reaction to make a melee attack with the set weapon against that target. If they hit, and their target moved 20 feet or more toward them before the attack, they can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the damage total.
