Traits

Magic Resistance. The slaad has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Regeneration. The slaad regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn if it has at least 1 hit point.

Amphibious. The slaad can breathe air and water.

Chameleon Skin. The slaad has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide.

Chaos Carrier. When the slaad dies, it explodes, and any creature within 10 feet of it must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 17 (5d6) poison damage and becomes infected with a Chaos Phage. On a success, the creature takes half as much damage and isn’t infected. If the target has taken damage from slashing or piercing attacks, they make the saving throw with disadvantage.

Chaos Phage. While infected, the target can’t regain hit points, and its hit point maximum is reduced by 10 (3d6) every 24 hours. If chaos phage reduces the target’s hit point maximum to 0, the target instantly transforms into a red slaad or, if it has the ability to cast spells of 3rd level or higher, a green slaad. Only a wish or greater restoration spell can reverse the transformation.

Toxic Skin. When a creature hits the slaad with a melee attack, that creature immediately takes 4 (1d8) poison damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The slaad makes three attacks: one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 5) piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) acid damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (1d6 + 5) slashing damage plus 3 (1d6) poison damage. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 16 Constitution saving throw or be infected with a disease called chaos phage. While infected, the target can’t regain hit points, and its hit point maximum is reduced by 10 (3d6) every 24 hours. If the disease reduces the target’s hit point maximum to 0, the target instantly transforms into a red slaad or, if it has the ability to cast spells of 3rd level or higher, a green slaad. Only a wish spell can reverse the transformation.
