Hit: The venom is injected into the prey and if it is a Hag it dies, instantly. All other targets make a constitution saving throw, dc18. On a failed save the target takes 4 (1d4+2) poison damage and is blinded until the following afternoon. On a successful save, the target takes 4 poison damage but is not blinded, and it can use its reaction to make an unarmed swat at the hornet.
Description
The Blue Ringed Hornets stinger is too weak to penetrate the skin of its prey. It makes up for this shortcoming by producing a powerful venom. The only place soft enough to administer this venom is the eye. Hags are deathly allergic to this venom. In other creatures it causes blindness. Some scholars argue that it is actually the puncturing of the eyeball that causes this blindness.
