Amorphous. The goo can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.
Spider Climb. The goo can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Dark appearance. The goo is indistinguishable from any other surface while it is in full darkness and has the advantage on stealth checks while in dim light.
Engulf. The goo moves up to its speed. While doing so, it can enter the space of a creature one size larger than them or smaller. whenever the goo enters a creature's space it latches onto them, on that creature's next turn it must make a DC 14 strength throw.
On a successful throw they pull the goo off and it cannot latch on to the same creature again for an hour. On a failure the goo fully engulfs the creature, taking over it's body and changing it into a pitch black, gooey version of the creature, resembling the void goo itself, while the goo has engulfed the creature it can communicate with it using telepathy and speak to other creatures using any languages it or former creatures it has engulfed or attempted engulf knew.
as a action the goo can detatch from the creature. if it reaches 0 hit-points it automatically detatches from the creature. although it uses the creature's hit-point maximum after engulfing it if it is higher than the void goo's, the creature is not harmed by any sources of damage other than psychic, piercing, acid or poison damage.
If a small goo stays controlling a medium creature for 24 hours it will grow to medium size, a medium goo can split off small goos once per long rest once it has been attached to a creature for more than 72 hours.
Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6) bludgeoning damage
split. When a goo that is Medium and isn't currently in control of a creature is subjected to lightning or slashing damage, it splits into two new creatures if it has at least 10 hit points. Each new goo has hit points equal to half the original goo's, rounded down. New goos are one size smaller than the original goo.
Description
a void black, agile parasitic goo of abberative origin that can be found in dark, quiet areas, waiting to engulf any unsuspecting hosts. despite their sinister origins and life cycle they are not evil, unlike most oozes, instead doing most things of either curiosity or for their own growth or reproduction, lacking the acid of most other oozes.
