Magic Resistance. The Bebilith has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions

Multiattack. The Bebilith makes two Web Strand attacks, uses Reel, and makes two Bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (3d8 + 8) piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) acid damage.

A creature slain by this attack bursts into flames 1 minute later, unless the creature is restored to life or its body is blessed with a use of the bless spell.

Web Strand. Ranged Weapon Attack: +13 to hit, reach 120 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is grappled (escape DC 18). The web strand can be attacked and destroyed (AC 12; 20 hit points; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, fire and psychic damage). A creature grappled this way takes 13 (3d8) fire damage at the start of each of the Bebilith’s turns. The Bebilith can grapple up to six creatures at a time using its web strands.

Reel. The Bebilith pulls each creature grappled by it up to 60 feet straight toward itself.

Description

Bebiliths, otherwise known as barbed horrors or creepers of the Abyss, were arachnid demons that, for their own inscrutable reasons, preyed upon other demons. Their kind often roamed the Abyss unimpeded, as their strange mystique caused other demons to leave them alone.

Bebiliths had a strange connection with fire, as their webs were resistant, if not on fire when they spun them. After victims died from their venomous bite they had to be quickly blessed to prevent the corpse from bursting into flames.
