Amphibious. Amoy'vir can breathe air and water.
Legendary Resistance (3/Day). If Amoy'vir fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead.
Tree Stride. Once on her turn, Amoy'vir can use 10 feet of her movement to step magically into one living tree within her reach and emerge from a second living tree within 60 feet of the first tree, appearing in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the second tree. Both trees must be Amoy'vir's current size or bigger.
Multiattack. Amoy’vir makes three Arcane Burst attacks. She can replace up to two with cantrips or attempts to grapple a creature of her current size or smaller.
Arcane Burst. Melee or Ranged Spell Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 120 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) poison damage.
Poison Breath (Recharge 5–6). Amoy'vir exhales poisonous gas in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw, taking 56 (16d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Spellcasting. Amoy’vir casts one of the following spells, using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 18, +10 to hit with spell attacks):
At will: minor illusion, chill touch, ray of frost, thorn whip
2/day each, at third level: counterspell or dispel magic, cure wounds (3d8+5), Tasha's mind whip (2 targets)
1/day: greater invisibility, major image, polymorph, conjure animals (4 crocodiles)
Change Shape. Amoy'vir magically transforms into any creature that is Medium or Small, while retaining her game statistics (other than her size). This transformation ends if Amoy'vir is reduced to 0 hit points or uses a bonus action to end it.
Fey Step (2/Day). Amoy'vir casts misty step.
Amoy'vir can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Amoy'vir regains spent legendary actions at the start of her turn.
Adapt. Amoy'vir makes a skill check.
Attack. Amoy'vir makes an Arcane Burst attack.
Cast Minor Spell. Amoy'vir casts a cantrip.
Cast Major Spell (Costs 2 Actions). Amoy'vir casts a spell of first level or higher.
Wing Attack (Costs 2 Actions). Amoy'vir beats her wings. Each creature within 10 feet of Amoy'vir must succeed on a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw or take 13 (2d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage and be knocked prone. Amoy'vir can then fly up to half her flying speed.
Description
The Veiled Scorn was once a servant of Tiamat, one of several dragons populating the region around the Scaled Tyrant’s lair. As she and her greed grew, however, Amoy’vir defected, striking out onto other planes in search of knowledge and power. To hide herself and her spoils from Tiamat, Amoy’vir used fey magic to hide away in the Bone Brambles.
In her guise as a night hag, the “Lady of Memory” uses eight hundred years of knowledge and magic to offer fey pacts and divinations. She does so more in her own interests than any devotion to the craft, but she’s gotten rather good at it. She’s learned to draw misery from contractors to empower herself beyond ordinary dragons of her age.
The most cunning and treacherous of true dragons, green dragons use misdirection and trickery to get the upper hand against their enemies. A green dragon is recognized by the crest that begins near its eyes and continues down its spine, reaching full height just behind the skull.
Lair and Lair Actions
Lair Actions
On initiative count 20 (losing initiative ties), Amoy'vir takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; she can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:
- Bramble Barrier. Amoy'vir casts entangle or wall of thorns, requiring no components or concentration. The spell ends when it's cast again or Amoy'vir dies.
- Lashing Roots. One large root or branch that is part of the lair makes a melee attack roll against a creature within 10 feet of it. It has a +7 bonus to hit and deals 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage on a hit. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
- Lingering Breath. Any creature that took damage from Amoy'vir's breath weapon on her previous turn immediately takes 10 (3d6) poison damage, as the poison clings to its targets.
- Toughened Scales. Glowing magical energy swirls across Amoy'vir's scales, granting her one of the following:
- Magic Resistance: advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects until initiative count 20 on the next round.
- Brutal Hide: resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage until initiative count 20 on the next round.
