Formation. As their action, the Hussars can choose to move up to the right or left flank of a fellow Hussar they can see within their walking distance, and assume a pike formation by readying an attack. When approached from the front or either side within a 10 ft. radius, the Hussars may use their reaction to lash out and attack, and upon a successful strike, their target's speed is decreased to 0 until the start of their next turn. Hussars can also form into a diamond formation if their numbers allow, preventing flanks from all sides, or a zig-zag formation to form a pike wall. Upon their turn, the Hussars move in formation as one, their movement speed reduced to 10 ft. while the formation advances all at once, with the option of using 5 ft. of movement to turn itself in one direction.
Barb and Claw. An age-old stratagem, when an enemy passes the effective range of a Hussar's pike, the hollow warrior will immediately lower the pole arm and draw out its shortsword. It will proceed to stab its assailant mercilessly, taking two attacks in one action until it or its opponent is cut down.
Multiattack. A Hussar can make two attacks per action when using its shortsword, but not using its pike.
