Deeply Rooted: If Aquilit Grabber's hit points drop to zero, after 1d6+1 days, it will regenerate itself. If you want to fully kill it, you must find it's roots in the Lowerdark. Roots have 68 (10d12+4) hit points. When they're destroyed, Aquilit Grabber is killed.
Stunning Gas: When somebody tries to attack the roots of Aquilit Grabber, it must do DC 17 Dexterity Saving Throw. If creature fails, Aquilit Grabber starts producing deadly gas in 10 feet radius, that will make attacker stunned for 10 minutes and for every minute the attacker is inside the gas cloud, he will take 3d12 poison, unless attacker succeeds DC 15 Constitution Saving Throw. Other creatures can save creature in the gas cloud by bringing it from the toxic cloud. To do that, they have to succeed DC 16 Constitution Saving Throw, to don't get stunned and to not receive any damage. Aquilit Grabber will also produce that toxic gas, if roots aren't killed by first attack.
Drag: Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target, Hit: 12 (2d10) bludgeoning damage. After initial attack, for three turns Aquilit Grabber would pull the target to the Underdark. Target can escape by succeeding DC 15+turn after initial attack Strength or Dexterity Saving Throw. If target failed to do the saving throw or decided to not escape, he will receive 3d8+2 bludgeoning damage.
Magic Accumulation: Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 30/45 ft., one target, Hit: 23 (3d10+4) force damage. Aquilit Grabber shoot with magical bullet full of evil energy. On a critical hit, every creature within 5 feet radius also receives 12 (3d6-1) force damage.
Consume Arcana: If a spell is targeted on Aquilit Grabber, it consumes the energy of a spell and automatically uses Magic Accumulation action, targeted to the attacker.
Description
Aquilit Grabber is a giant cyan tentacle with a lot of eyes and mouths, that awaits for unaware sailors. Its presence can be detected by color of water (usually it's black as coal) and by blue fireflies, which are illusion. When it's the right time, Aquilit Grabber emerges from the ocean to smash the boat in to the ground and to drag surprised people into the Underdark.
History
The origins of Aquilit Grabber is widely unknown. The first mention of it is dated on 103 PR, when an anonymous elf survived the attack of the Aquilit Grabber:
Then, it emerged. At least 35 feet tall tentacle with eyes and mouths. It started shouting, and talking to us telepathically. It gave me a feeling of paranoia, I thought I was going to pass out. Luckily it didn't happen. Then it dragged my brother into the ocean. I screamed, I cried. I tried to escape when after a minute or so it emerged again. Now more powerful. It shot me with a giant purple ball. It exploded, and I got launched away from the creature. I will be afraid of the ocean for the rest of my life...
Few hundred years later, a scientist from Neverwinter found out that Aquilit Grabber is made out of dead aberrations such as Mind flayers, Beholders or Nothiks, that died very close or in the ocean. That theory was confirmed when few decades later, another scientist from Neverwinter successfully killed some Nothiks next to the ocean and few days later, at night, he spotted a blue firefly. He was found dead the next day...
