Description
Arcane Inks arise from careless wizards inscribing spells in their tomes and allowing excess runoff to slide off the page. The puddle of ink on the ground slowly but surely gains a rudimentary level of intelligence, and starts actively seeking out more ink runoff to subsume. It can cast the spells the wizard was transcribing when it was formed, and any others it absorbs the ink from. When two Arcane Inks meet, they instantly fuse, combining their intelligence and spell bank. Depending on the character of the wizards that accidentally formed them and the spells they comprise, Arcane Inks can be benevolent, malicious, insane, complacent, or any variety of odd personality traits. Their spell lists vary greatly in the wild - this example was built assuming it formed from an evocation-focused caster, giving it additional combat possibilities.
