Volcanic Amphibian. The Betsubra is immune to environmental damage that a volcano could cause e.g. magma/lava streams, heated earth, extremely high air temperature.
Charge. If the Betsubra moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target then hits it with a tusk attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 7 (2d6) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Vengeful. The Betsubra will focus most of it's attacks on the creature that damaged it most last turn.
Multiattack. The Betsubra makes three attacks: one with it's tusks and two with its claws.
Tusks. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one creature. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) piercing damage.
Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) slashing damage.
Discharge (Recharge 5-6). The Betsubra spits a gunk of lava-y mucus at a point it can see within 70 feet of it. All creatures within 5 feet of that point must take a DC 14 dexterity saving throw, taking 45 (10d8) fire damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one.
Description
Betsubras a large, thickly scaled amphibians that make their homes inside scorched caves found in and around volcanoes. Their most notable feature is their huge tusks which can crush boulders with relative ease. Fragments of these tusks can fetch up to around 200gp to the right seller. Furthermore, their blood can be refined to create fairly potent heat-resistance potions. This makes them a valuable hunt to those brave, or stupid enough to try.
