In combat, Vaghar shares your initiative count, but takes his turn immediately after yours. The only action he takes on his turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command him to take one of the actions in its stat block or to take the Dash, Disengage, Help, or Hide action.

If Vaghars HP is reduced to zero he is dismissed. Vashet can use an action and a use of wildshape to return him.

Soul of the Flame: At level 6, while Vaghar is within 30 ft of Vashet, Vashet has resistance to fire damage and when you cast a spell that heals or deals fire damage you can add 1D8 healing or fire damage to that spell, and you can cast any spell from Vaghar's space as long as it doesn't have a range of self. At level 15, while Vaghar is within 30ft and you fall to 0 HP,  you can dismiss him and rise to your feet with half your maximum HP restored and each creature or your choice within 10 feet or you and Vaghar take fire damage equal to your wisdom modifier plus half your druid level, rounded down and have disadvantage on attack rolls until the start of your next turn.

Soul Bond: Vaghar's skill, saving throw, attack roll and damage roll bonuses equal your proficiency bonus (PB) plus his modifier. Vaghar's AC equals 14 plus PB. His hit points are equal to 5 plus your wisdom plus 5 times your druid level.

Flame Seed. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4, range 30ft., one target you can see. Hit: 1d6 + 2 + PB fire damage.

Fiery Teleportation. Vaghar and each willing creature of your choice within 5 feet of him teleport up to 15 feet to unoccupied spaces you can see. Each creature of your choice within 10 feet of the space that Vaghar left must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 1d6 + 2 + PB fire damage.
