Description
The Arrow Bug is about the size of a small dog or large cat, and they have four long legs with a powerful armored tail. The Arrow Bug inhabits swamp and wetlands terrain, and can often be found in hives of up to twenty or thirty. They are green and brown in color and mimic their terrain which makes them hard to spot (disadvantage on perception)
When they are "pregnant" the bright green almost neon color in the joints gives them a bio luminescent quality that can be spotted in dim or dark conditions.
Lair and Lair Actions
A typical Arrow Bug lair might be a rotted tree, or log, or might be a moss-covered outcrop of rocks near a watering hole. Anywhere between 5 and 30 arrow bugs could be living in the lair and coming close to this hive might trigger the bugs to bomb the area with a psychoactive gas that causes victims to forget why they were there, and that anything was wrong or notable.
