Illusion. An aelin can create illusions of glowing, floating orbs that are Medium or smaller. When inspected, the orb will burst into smoke. A creature that sees the illusions can tell they are illusions with a successful DC 12 Intelligence (Investigation) check.

Description
The Aelin is a small bird that typically comes in groups of 20. They feed on berries and things stolen from those who wander into the forest. Aelin will create illusions of floating orbs, similar to will-o-wisps, to draw the attention of people in the forest. Once the illusion either disappears or bursts into smoke, a swarm of Aelin will swoop in to steal a traveler's rations and anything else edible or shiny they may have on them. Aelin live in the forest's canopy.
