Animated Spellbook

Antimagic Susceptibility. The spellbook is incapacitated while in the area of an antimagic field. If targeted by dispel magic, the spellbook must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against the caster's spell save DC or fall unconscious for 1 minute.

False Appearance. If the spellbook is motionless at the start of combat, it has advantage on its initiative role. Moreover, if a creature hasn't observed the spellbook move or act, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Intelligence (Investigation) check to discern that the spellbook isn't an ordinary book.

Immutable Form. The spellbook is immune to any spell or effect that would alter its form.

Magic Resistance. The spellbook has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Unusual Nature. The spellbook doesn’t require air, food, drink, or sleep.

Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Spellcasting. The spellbook casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Intelligence as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16):

At will: dancing lights, mage hand, magic missile, minor illusion, prestidigitation
3/day each: fireball, hypnotic pattern, invisibility (self only), shield, stinking cloud, thunderwave
1/day each: banishment, ice storm, magic circle (as an action)
