Warforged Resilience. The warforged has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned and is immune to disease. Magic can't put it to sleep.
Inspirational Fighter. The commander is constantly inspiring its allies to fight on, causing all allies within 30ft. to gain +3 on all saving throws.
Multiattack. The warforged commander makes two attacks, one with its armblade and one with its bayonet.
Armblade. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 3) slashing damage.
Bayonet. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d4 + 4) piercing damage.
Hand Cannon. Ranged Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d12 + 4) piercing damage.
Flame Blast (Recharge 6). The warforged fires a blast from its built-in flame launcher. All characters within a 30 ft. cone must make a DC 15 dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 21 (6d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Check Your Flanks. The warforged adds 3 to the AC of an ally against one melee attack that would hit it. The warforged must be able to see both the ally and the attacker to do this.
Description
Warforged Commanders are a special caste of warforged, either created specifically to fill this role or selected from the ranks of pre-existing warforged, created to serve as commanding officers either for other warforged or more traditional armies. Specially trained in combat tactics and morale-building, a commander can greatly enhance the ability of its fighting force, conventional or warforged. Armed with a slightly enhanced standard armblade, as well as a bayoneted 'hand cannon' pistol and a specially built-in flame launcher (located beneath the armour of the chest), the commander is a powerful fighter in and of itself.
Improving the Perfect Soldiers. While sapient and having distinct personalities, warforged are typically disciplined enough to act as a functional fighting force without a commanding officer present. However, the camaraderie and advanced training that a commanding officer can provide is not to be underestimated, even with beings built for war.
