Change Formation. If the swarm has more than half of its hit points, it can choose a formation at the start of each of its turns. The formation lasts until the start of the swarm's next turn. Possible forms are:
Stacked Up: The swarm's size is tiny and it has advantage on attack rolls. Further, while the swarm remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a flowering plant if it is at least 10 feet away.
Spread Out: The swarm's size is large and it has resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage. Further, the swarm can make a second melee attack against another target on its turn.
Keen Sight. The swarm has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.
Swarm. The swarm can occupy another creature's space and vice versa, and the swarm can move through any opening large enough for a Tiny fey. The swarm can't regain hit points or gain temporary hit points.
Multiattack. The Band of Gloomcloaks make two melee attacks on their turn.
Tiny Stabs. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 0 ft., 1 target. Hit: 7 (1d4 + 5) piercing damage, or 2 (1d4) piercing damage if the swarm has half of its hit points or fewer.

Description
What looks like a single flower, is actually a perfectly disguised compound of small, individual creatures. Stacked up and able to remain motionless for hours, the gloomcloaks hide in ambush and are ready to attack any threat stepping in range. Still, these creatures don't stay for too long in one place. Originating from dangerous and nightmarish lands, a gloomcloak is always on the move and attacks quickly in case its flowery cover is blown.
Monster was created by Michael Habiger of The Fluffy Folio (I do not have any ownership of this monster, creating simply for my home game).
