Traits

Oppressing Force. Bane's attacks are considered magical, and deal an extra 22 (4d10) psychic damage on a hit (included in the attack). Whenever Bane would deal psychic damage to a creature normally immune, it is instead resistant, and whenever Bane would deal psychic damage to a creature normally resistant, it is instead not resistant. Additionally, whenever Bane takes psychic damage, that attacker takes that damage and Bane takes none.

Epic Resistance (3/Day). If Bane fails a saving throw, he can choose to succeed instead. Whenever he does so, he automatically succeeds on all saving throws until the end of his next turn.

Overwhelming Control. Bane is a master of controlling his foes through strife, and tyranny. Whenever Bane would impose the charmed, frightened, or paralyzed conditions on a creature normally immune, it instead makes its saving throw with advantage. Additionally, Bane is immune to psychic damage, any effect that sense his emotions or read his thoughts, divination spells, and the charmed condition. Bane's mind can even foil wish spells and similar magical effects used to try and determine information about him. Finally, whenever Bane is targeted by a spell or effect that imposes the charmed, frightened, or paralyzed condition, it has no effect and the origin of that spell or effect is affected instead.

Unrelenting Tyranny. Whenever Bane successfully hits a creature with a Black Gauntlet attack, he can apply one of the following additional effects. Bane can only apply these effects on the same target once per round.
Deep Impact. The target takes an extra 13 (2d12) force damage, and it is pushed 30 feet backwards, falling prone.
Despair. The target must make a DC 26 Charisma saving throw or have disadvantage on all ability checks, attack rolls, and saving throws until the end of Bane's next turn.
Force Submission. The target must make a DC 26 Wisdom saving throw or become charmed by Bane until the end of his next turn. While charmed in this manner, an affected creature is incapacitated as it kneels in Bane's presence.
Crackle. All nonmagical armor, weapons, and objects within 30 feet of the target are destroyed as they shatter into small pieces. If any armor, weapons, or objects within the affected area are magical, their wielder must make a DC 26 Strength saving throw or have the item wrenched from its grasp or form, landing 30 feet feet away from it.

Actions

Multiattack. Bane makes two attacks with his Black Gauntlet, then uses Grasp of Imminent Death. Alternatively, Bane uses Conquering Presence then uses Corruption if available.

Black Gauntlet. Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (2d12 + 8) bludgeoning damage plus 22 (4d10) psychic damage. If the target is a creature, it must make a DC 26 Wisdom saving throw or be affected by the dominate monster spell until the start of its next turn.

Conquering Presence. Bane unleashes his tyrannical will upon the area around him. Each creature of Bane's choice within 60 feet of him take 35 (10d6) psychic damage and must make a DC 26 Charisma saving throw or become frightened of Bane for 1 minute. While frightened in this manner, an affected creature has its speed reduced to 0 and it takes 10 psychic damage at the start of each of its turns. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Corruption (Recharge 6). Bane targets a creature he can see within 120 feet of him. The target must make a DC 26 Constitution saving throw or be transformed into a Large. leathery skinned, clawed monstrosity for 1 minute. While so transformed, the targets Strength score increases by 4 to a maximum of 30, and it can only make attacks with its claws which deal 4d6 slashing damage plus the targets Strength modifier. The target is also ravenous, it does not know friend from foe and must attack the creature nearest to it until it is slain. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Grasp of Imminent Death. Bane targets one creature he can see within 120 feet of him. The target must make a DC 26 Strength saving throw taking 45 (10d6 + 10) force damage and becoming grappled and restrained by shadowy tendrils. While grappled in this manner, the affected creature is pulled to an unoccupied space of Bane's choice within 5 feet of him. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.

Reactions

Strife Emperor. As a reaction to a creature failing a saving throw within 60 feet of him, Bane can move up to his speed and make a Black Gauntlet attack against a creature within range.

Legendary Actions

Bane can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Bane regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Strike. Bane makes a Black Gauntlet attack.

Exert Will (Costs 2 Actions). Bane uses Conquering Presence, or Grasp of Imminent Death.

Overwhelming Will (Costs 3 Actions). Bane recharges, or uses his Corruption action.

Description

Bane, the former Faerunian god of Strife, Tyranny, etc. now reduced to a still extremely powerful Quasi-Divine mortal form. He and the other of the Dead Three hide somewhere within the Realms, plotting to claim more power for themselves and bring ruin to the realms. Bane has always been the brains of the Three, while Myrkul may be more intelligent than him, he is far superior at crafting actionable plans with sound tactics.
