Traits

Blood Frenzy. The Apotheosic Abomination has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.

Amphibious. The Apotheosic Abomination can breathe both air and water.

Shattered Psyche. Drawing on disturbing memories of its former life, as well as genetically engineered instincts to destroy land-dwellers, the Apotheosic Abomination has advantage on Wisdom saving throws.

Cryptic Skin. The Apotheosic Abomination can change color to match its surroundings. It has advantage on Dexterity checks made to hide.

Actions

The Apotheosic Abomination can make up to three attacks; one with its bite, shoulder slam and tail, each against a different target within range. It also uses its Tortured Howl if available.

Shoulder Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 1d12 +6 bludgeoning damage, and the target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or be pushed back 15 feet. If this would cause the target to impact another creature, both creatures take an additional 1d10 bludgeoning damage.

Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: + 8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 1d12 + 6 bludgeoning damage and the target must succeed on a DC 17 Strength saving throw or take an additional 6 damage and be knocked prone.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 3d6 + 6 piercing damage and target is grappled (Escape DC 17).

Tortured Howl (Recharge 5-6). The Apotheosic Abomination lets loose a tortured, cacophonous howl, dealing 6d4 thunder damage and frightening creatures within a 30-foot radius centered on itself. A creature that succeeds on a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw takes half damage and is not frightened.

Reactions

Lick Wounds. When damage causes the Apotheosic Abomination to drop below half health, it uses its reaction to move up to its burrowing speed underground without provoking attacks of opportunity, and summons 4 additional Burrowpups above ground.
