False Appearance. If the blight is motionless at the start of combat, it has advantage on its initiative roll. Moreover, if a creature hasn’t observed the blight move or act, that creature must succeed on a DC 18 Intelligence (investigations) check to discern that the Blight Troll is animate. A Blight Troll otherwise appears as a large, dense bush made of woody, thorned vines.
Regeneration. The Blight Troll regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the troll takes fire damage, this trait doesn't function at the start of the Blight Toll's next turn. The Blight Troll dies only if it starts its turn with 0 hit points and doesn't regenerate.
Severed Vines. Whenever the Blight Troll takes at least 15 slashing damage at one time one of its Impaling Vines is severed. The vine continues to act for three rounds after severing until it withers and dies. The Blight Troll loses one of its Impaling Vine attacks until it uses it Regeneration feature again. Each time it regenerates, the Blight Troll can regain one Impaling Vine.
A severed vine acts on the Blight Troll’s initiative and has its own action and movement. It has AC 13, 10 hit points, and the troll’s Regeneration trait. It can move up to 10 ft. and can use either the Dash action or attack once with the Blight Troll's Impaling Vines.
Resurrected Victims. Any humanoid creature reduced to zero hit points or less by the Blight Troll will reawaken as a Needle Blight at the end of the following round.
Multiattack. The troll makes twp attacks with its Impaling Vines.
Impaling Vines. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage and the target is grappled. The target can use its action to try to escape the Impaling Vines by succeeding on a DC15 Strength saving throw. The Blight Troll has advantage on any attack against a grappled creature.
