Avoidance. If the bloodrage displacer beast is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.
Bloodrage. While the bloodrage displacer beast has 37 or fewer hit points, it deals an extra 3 (1d6) bludgeoning damage with its Tentacle attacks.
Displacement. The bloodrage displacer beast projects a magical illusion that makes it appear to be standing near its actual location, causing attack rolls against it to have disadvantage. If it is hit by an attack, this trait is disrupted until the end of its next turn. This trait is also disrupted while the displacer beast is incapacitated or has a speed of 0.
Threatening Reach. Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from the bloodrage displacer beast even if they take the Disengage action before leaving its reach. Creatures provoke an opportunity attack from the bloodrage displacer beast when they enter its reach.
Multiattack. The bloodrage displacer beast makes two attacks with its tentacles.
Tentacle. Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d8) piercing damage.
Description
Bloodrage displacer beasts are more brutal than their more common kin. They also display a mastery over their tentacle attacks that lesser beasts lack. Though they are found most often in the wild, some intelligent humanoids capture and train them as guards or hunting beasts.
