Traits

Confusion Aura. Any creature that begins its turn within 30 ft. of the uvuudaum must make a Wisdom save (DC 28) or act randomly until the end of their turn as per confusion. A creature that successfully saves against the confusion aura makes further saves with advantage.

 

Magic Resistance. The uvuudaum has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.


Magic Weapons. The uvuudaum's weapon attacks are magical.

Noneuclidean Geometry Attacks against an uvuudaum suffer disadvantage. It can make one opportunity attacks per turn and threatens a 100 ft. area around it. It can make opportunity attacks against creatures that enter its threatened range as well as those that leave it.

Innate Spellcasting. The uvuudaum's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 28, +19 spell attacks). The uvuudaum can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:
At will: dimension door, dispel magic
3/day each: chain lightning, cone of cold, disintegrate, dominate monster, prismatic spray, mental prison
1/day each: time stop

Actions

Headspike. Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 100 ft., one target. Hit: 52 (5d8 + 7) piercing damage and 45 (5d8) psychic damage. If the target is a living creature, it suffers disadvantage on Wisdom saves until the end of its next turn. The uvuudaum gains a number of hit points equal to the damage dealt.




Sanity Drain. 
Melee Weapon Attack: +14 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: (3d10+7) slashing damage and (3d10) psychic damage. On a hit, the target has to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC28) or the target's Wisdom score is reduced by 2d4. The target dies if this reduces its Wisdom to 0. Otherwise, the reduction lasts until the target finishes a short or long rest. The uvuudaum regains 5 lost hit points per reduced Wisdom point. 

Reactions

Reflect. The uvuudaum blocks an incoming weapon attack with its spiked head, ripping through the layers of the Far Realm, increasing its AC by 5 until the end of its turn.

Legendary Actions

At-Will Spell. The uvuudaum casts one of its at-will spells.

Cast Spell (Costs 2 Actions). The uvuudaum casts one spell.

Maddening Revelation. The uvuudaum stacks the layers of the Far Realm, aligning the synapses of the target with different realities of a creature it can see within 60 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC28 Wisdom saving throw or expend of its spell slots of 3rd level or lower and deal 26 (4d12) force damage to each creature within 30 feet of it. A creature that fails the saving throw but can't expend a spell slot is instead stunned until the end of its next turn.
