Description
The blade stinger is a creature that has cut its way through to the material plane at a weakened area bordering the Underdark and the Shadowfell. Although they travel in packs while young, most mature blade stingers are solitary due to their lethally competitive nature.
The blade stinger is a squat, armored creature with small foreclaws and powerful hindclaws made of an organic metal. Its scorpion-like tail is tipped with a glaive-like blade that tapers into a fine point. When hunting food, the blade stinger uses its claws to take down prey and its acidic bite to dissolve and digest the kill. When facing a larger creature or simply working out its natural bloodlust, the blade stinger uses the tail attack from which it gets its name.
