Acidic Body. A creature that attacks the Bog Mummy with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 6 (2d6) acid damage.
Avoidance. If the Bog Mummy is subjected to an effect that allows it to make a saving throw to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage if it succeeds on the saving throw, and only half damage if it fails.
One with the swamp. If the Bog Mummy ends its turn outside of the waters of the swamp or finds itself dry for any other mean it loses 1 Dexterity and 1 AC per turn, regaining 1 of each for every turn back into the swamp waters. If the Bog Mummy drops to 1 Dexterity it becomes Incapacitated until it goes back into the water.
Multiattack. The mummy can use its Empathic Body and makes one attack with its Dissolving Touch.
Dissolving Touch: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage plus 13 (4d6) acid damage. If the target is a living creature, it must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save the target can't regain hit points, losses acid damage resistance (if it had any) and will receive 1d4 addition damage from every acid damage source until the end of its next turn.
Empathic Body. The bog mummy targets one creature it can see within 60 feet of it. If the target can see the mummy, it must succeed on a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw losing 2 Dexterity and taking 2d4 acid damage on a fail save, by having their bones start to melt with acid or half damage and no Dexterity lose on a successful one. If a creature has its Dexterity drop to 0 it's affected by the Restrained condition until it regains the lost Dexterity with a long rest. A humanoid killed while having 0 Dexterity will be dragged in the swamp and rise as a Bog Mummy in a month.
Description
Unlike normal mummies who are creatures created in a controlled space through a very specific ritual in order to become cursed and powerful undead, Bog Mummies are created by chance under very specific conditions, lacking the magic powers but gaining different and more strange abilities. A Bog Mummy like many undead come back to live because of a traumatic end or because of the will of a powerful necromancer, what`s different with Bog Mummies is their body.
Undead come in many forms they may be as simple as a skeleton or as complex as a lich, they may have flesh and muscles or they can be just a pile of bones, they can be smart and hold untold knowledge or they can be as simple as a zombie, but all not ethereal undead have one thing in common, the base of their body and the thing they need in order to move and function is a skeleton, Bog Mummies don't have one.
These mummies are found only in swamps, in very acidic swamps where the soft parts of their bodies are preserved and take this dark leathery form, but not the bones because of the calcium in the bones not being able to stand the acid and end up melting away leaving a corpse with hard yet flexible skin and muscle able to bend and twist without breaking.
The poor souls who end up in this state will be forever consumed by the agonizing pain of the acid in their bodies eventually going mad and losing themselves for if they try to scape the muddy and humid swamps to avoid the pain of the acid they will dry and lose all the flexibility in their body and eventually be unable to move dropping to the ground trapped in their own body forever.
