Pact with the Lord of the Dead.  Chicken Bone is able to call upon the forces of the undead in the swamp to defend him. In general, he can call 7(2d6) zombies to come to his aid. These creatures use the zombie stat block with 20 temporary hit points and a +6 to damage rolls. The ritual to summon these defenders requires 1 hour to perform.

In addition, if he is attacked in sight of any undead creature with an intellience of 4 or lower it immediatly comes to his aid.

Create Gri-Gris. Chicken Bone can imbue a small trinket with any necromancy, enchantment or divination spell of up to 6th- Level as long as he has the material components required to cast it. For each level of the spell the process takes 1- hour and it uses a Gris-Gris point. He has a number of Gris-Gris points equal to 30 - (the trinkets he has imbued)

Petitioning the Loa. - Chicken Bone is able to employ a number of magical spells. In order to invoke any given power, however, he must complete a complex ritual. Given enough time, the old man can cast any spell from the schools of Necromancy, Enchantment, or Divination. The ritual required to invoke these spells is quite involved and requires no less than 1 hour per level of the spell. During this time, he must be left undisturbed. The rituals by which Chicken Bone invokes his spells requires him to set alight numerous candles, burn certain incenses, and offer up the lives of one or more small animals as sacrifices—In addition to whatever material components the actual spell might require, Chicken Bone must have a sympathetic token from both the person hiring him to cast the spell and the target of the spell.  Neither of the sympathetic items are destroyed in the casting of the spell and Chicken Bone retains them afterwards as part of the contract for his services. In this way, he is able to cast spells on his patrons if they later threaten or refuse to pay him.

  • Sympathetic Token - These tokens can range from things like a lock of hair, some nail clippings, or a drop of blood to personal possessions like a favorite weapon, a wedding ring, or an important lucky charm.
  • Chicken bone can use his Petitioning the Loa ability on a sympathetic token as long as the spell has a target of one creature. The spell targets whoever the token orginally belonged to. Range is not a consideration for the spell when cast in this way, for the use of the sympathetic item negates all such concerns.

Servant of the Loa - Chicken bone can cast any cantrip from the schools of Necromancy, Enchantment or Divination but they instead have a casting time of two actions.

  • A spell with a casting time of two actions requires you to use your action to begin casting during your current turn. The spell is not cast until your next turn, when you must use another action to finish casting on it. If you do not finish the spell on your next turn following the turn when you started casting, the spell fails as if it never been cast.

Spellcasting. When using Petitioning the Loa Chicken Bone is a 20-level spellcaster. His spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 21, +11 to hit with spell attacks).
