Every 5 rounds of combat the world shifts as unique elements of the void phase into this plane of existence. Additionally all creatures not aligned with the desires of Tharizdun must succeed on a wisdom saving throw or receive a darkened chain link around their necks. Once the links encircle the neck they will be under the effects of dominate person and subject to the whims of the Avatar and Tharizdun. Additionally, those affected with links will suffer the following effects based on the number of links:
1-3 links: No effect
4-5 links: 5 necrotic damage at the start of your turn
6-7 links: Must succeed on a wisdom saving throw or believe that a chain has wrapped around your leg and is pinning you to the ground. Grappled
8 links: The chain moves up your body further pinning you in place. Restrained
9 links: Your heart feels deep despair and hopelessness at the situation. Disadvantage on any d20 tests.
10 links: Chain is complete- Dominate Person
The effect ends when the Avatar of Tharizdun is destroyed. Additionally, a 3 links can be removed via the remove curse spell or all current links can be removed by greater restoration.
