False Appearance  - While the Saguaro Sentinel remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal cactus.

Siege Monster - The Saguaro Sentinel deals double damage to objects and structures.

Thorns - The body of a Saguaro Sentinel is covered with long, rigid thorns. These thorns tear at any creature that touches it, dealing 1d8 points of piercing damage. Creatures striking a Saguaro Sentinel with natural attacks or unarmed strikes are subject to this damage, but creatures striking with melee weapons are not. A creature that is pushed into or falls onto the plant also takes damage from it’s thorns.

Tough Flesh - The flesh of a Saguaro Sentinel is tough and retains water in the harshest of conditions. It does not take extra damage from dehydration spells and effects (including horrid wilting) as plants normally do.

Actions

Multi-Attack -The Saguaro Sentinel makes two slam attacks.

Slam -  Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 16 (3d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage. 

Spike Spray - The Saguaro Sentinel sprays thorns out of it’s body in the direction of one creature. Ranged Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target.Hit: 28 (4d10 + 6) piercing damage.

Spike Storm (recharge 5-6) - The Saguaro Sentinel launches all the thorns in it’s body, creating  storm of spines in a 60 ft. radius, centred on the Saguaro Sentinel.All creatures within the radius take 24 (4d8 + 6). A creature within the radius who succeeds on a DEX saving throw (DC 13) takes only half damage.After using this ability, the Saguaro Sentinel does not benefit from it’s Thorns trait until Spike Storm has recharged.

Animate Cactus (1/Day) - The Saguaro Sentinel magically animates one or two cacti it can see within 60 feet of it. These cacti have the same statistics as a Saguaro Sentinel, except they have intelligence and charisma scores of 1, they can’t speak, and they have only the slam action option. An animated cactus acts as an ally of the Saguaro Sentinel. The cactus remains animated for 1 day or until it dies; until the Saguaro Sentinel dies or is more than 120 feet from the Saguaro Sentinel; or until the Saguaro Sentinel takes a bonus action to turn the cactus back into an inanimate a regular plant. The cactus takes root if possible.

Description

This massive being possesses several thick, jointed arms raised to the sky. Long, needle-sharp thorns cover its thick hide, and tiny, deep-set eyes peer from between ridges along its body.

Saguaro sentinels are wastelands relatives of the treant. Like those tree folk, they consider themselves guardians of desert plant life. Unlike treants, though, they are not much concerned with good and evil. Saguaro sentinels stand over 30 feet tall, and some exceptional individuals approach 50 feet in height. They are thicker-bodied and retain more water than treants, having an average weight of 6,000 pounds. These cactus folk are normally slow to anger, but once aroused they are deadly juggernauts.

Saguaro sentinels speak Sylvan; those of above average intelligence also know the Common, and Druidic language. Their voices are deep and booming.
