Susceptible to Areas of Effect. If both halves of the bifurcated giant are in an effect’s area, both halves are affected by it independently. If the effect deals damage, both halves are subject to it, potentially dealing double the effect’s damage to the giant.
Multiattack. The troll makes two attacks with their claws.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) slashing damage.
Intestine Throttle (While Split Only). The bifurcated giant whips their intestines around one creature between their halves. One target in a 5-foot wide line extending from one half of the giant to the other must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw. On a failure, the target is restrained by the intestines. At the start of each of the creature's turns while they are restrained by the giant's intestines, they takes 7 (2d6) bludgeoning damage as the intestines tighten. A creature can use their action to make a DC 16 Strength check, freeing themself or another creature restrained by the intestines within reach on a success. While a target is restrained by this effect, both halves of the giant cannot move further from the target than they were when it was first restrained, nor can the giant reattach both of their halves
Split. The bifurcated giant can separate their upper and lower halves, each half occupying a space like a Medium creature. While separated, the giant takes two turns during each round of combat, the first on their normal initiative, and the second at their initiative minus 10. A giant's halves move and act independently of each other but cannot move or be moved further than 30 feet from each other, as the giant's intestines connects the two halves.
Both halves of the giant share the same pool of hit points. A giant can reattach their halves if one half takes a bonus action to do so while both are in the same space. A split giant's intestines can be attacked (AC 13; 20 hit points; immune to bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage from nonmagical attacks). Damage dealt to the intestines does not transfer to the giant, but a giant with a severed intestines loses 10 hit points at the start of each of their turns. A severed intestine can be restored if both halves of the giant are attached and it receives magical healing.
Description
Giants caught in the area of the gloaming curse, the bifurcated giants forms have been so badly warped that their bodies can separate, able to be pulled apart except for their entrails. While walking upright, the bifurcated giant's midsection dangled looping intestines. These entrails string out once the giant separates, connecting the two halves of the creature.
