False Appearance. While the Volcra remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from an inanimate Shadow.

Actions

Multiattack. The Volcra makes two attacks: one with its bite and one with its claws.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d12 + 6) piercing damage.

Claws. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 5 (1d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Prey. As an action a Volcra can try and grapple a target and drag them into the shadows on a successful grapple the target is dragged 10 feet towards the nearest shadow.

Bonus Actions

Infect. As a bonus action the Volcra can inflect a the target of a bite attack with a infection the target must make a constitution saving throw and beat a 15. On a successful save the infection doesn't take hold and on a failed save the infection takes hold causing the targets vanes near the bite to turn black and the target to be paralyzed. the infection can be removed by Cure Wounds, Lesser Restoration, and cure disease. 

 

Description

These malevolent creatures of elemental Shadow resemble grotesque, fiendish statues. A Volcra lurks among shadow cursed lands and people, delighting in the terror it creates when it emerges from the shadows.
