Description

The Beloved Daisy Nymph was once an ordinary field daisy. Each day a family of Firbolgs would come out to the field & the mother would read them stories of the world for all the plants to hear. Soon, this little Daisy learnt to dream. Out of all the Firbolgs she'd seen so far, a certain one stood out, Special Ed. Even though many of the Firbolgs talked to plants, he had a fascination beyond any of the others. Spending much of his time caring for her field & thanking the plants, flowers & trees for their beauty.

Daisy wanted to thank this young man & as he finally passed close enough, Daisy leaned forward & used all of her will power to send a simple thought of gratitude towards Special Ed. To her delight, Speciel Ed turned on the spot, sensing the emotion, even looking down to see a little Daisy leaning out towards him, almost as though it was looking straight at him.

They soon became close friends & Special Ed would come out everyday to visit her.  However, on one particular day, 3 Fomorians happened upon them. Special Ed did everything he could to protect Daisy, wrapping himself around her to take the hits, but with little success. The commotion snapped Daisy's stem. In a panic, Special Ed uprooted Daisy with a handfull of soil & ran as fast as he could. He ran, crying from eyes & nose, holding Daisy close until he could barely run anymore, so instead he decided to hide.

Finding a cave, Special Ed ventures as deep and as far down as he could hide until stumbling out into an opening with Yiarni, a giant crystal dragon, resting at its center. He doesn't see the danger through the tears, only the loss & a possibility for hope. He screams for her help, crying & stumbling towards her before collapsing upon the ground, arms stretched out with hands full of dirt & Daisy, bent at the stem, laying still upon its top.

Yiarni sees innocense in this young Firbolg & takes pity upon their love. Plucking out one of her own crystal scales she rests it on the floor & breaths a radiant beam of concentrated energy at the scale until it begins to melt. Carefully taking Daisy, Yiarni places her within the melting crystal. She then takes a discarded dragon bone & attaches it to one end. Breathing cooly on the crystal, she molds it as it sets into the shape of a sword, the dragon bone its handle. Yiarni tells Special Ed that this will prevent Daisy from dying until he can find a way to heal her. Thus, Daisy the Crystal Greatsword. An unexpected result however, was the amount of radiant energy absorbed by the crystal scale, which in turn was absorbed by the sleeping Daisy. A simple flower with the essence of a radiant dragon flowing through her.
