Traits

Deep rooted. The Angler Iboga is so large that only creature much bigger than it could uproot it. Therefore it cannot be proned or grappled with by a creature it's own size or smaller.

Hallucinogetic Flowers.
 The Angler Iboga's Lair if scattered with bright purple and yellow flowers. Anyone entering the lair has to make a Constitution Saving throw with a starting DC of 10 or be affected with Hallucinations. Every minute spent in the lair increase de DC by 1. Once affected, a victim can shake off the hallucination with a Wisdom saving throw of DC 12. Upon succes, the victim realise the trap and the Constitution DC is reset for them.
Victims see different things, but always very pleasant experience guiding them towards the mouth.  In combat a hallucinating victim walk half it's walking speed every turn.
Damage from the acid in the mouth will not stop the hallucination, but other source will trigger an opportunity for an additional Wisdom saving throw.

Lure. The Angler Iboga posses a fishing lure like appendage that is use to bait it's prey into walking straight in it's mouth. Creatures affected by the hallucination from the flower will  see the Lure as a object they want, a person they love, a place they want to go to, etc., and walk toward the Lure.

Actions

Enclose. Once a prey is detected inside the mouth part of the plant, the mouth close and start producing digestive acids. A creatire ending it's turn in a mouth will take 2d6 Acid Damage.
The mouth can contain up to 4 medium creatures in it.
To get out of the mouth a creature can attempt a sthrenght check of 15. The mouth barely opens for one creature to get out, requiring a check for every creature atempting to get out. An hallucinating creature cannot attempt to leave.

Bonus Actions

If the Angler Iboga has grappled victims, it will start pulling them directly toward its mouth, with a speed or 5 feet a turn, until the vines are either cut or the target ends the condition somehow.

Reactions

Flower dart. The Iboga usually has between 3-6 bright purple flowers that grows here and there in the lair. When the plant is struck, any flower in a meele range will throw a dart at the source of the damage. Each dart inflict 1d4 damage.

Description

The Angler Iboga is a carnivorous plant that evolve to prey on the giant predators roaming the jungle. They are made of sturdy , almost rubbery plant material and their lair is inescapable by most prey du to their luring method.

Lair and Lair Actions

The Angler Iboga is one with it's lair; Interconnection of roots from the mouth runs deep under it and in a circle of around of 30 feet radius.

Lair Actions

On initiative count #17 the Angler Iboga takes a lair action to cause one of the following effects; the Angler Iboga can’t use the same effect two rounds in a row:

  • As a natural defense machanism, the Angler Iboga can spray puff of poisonous gas from it's leaves. The whole lair becomes filled with it for a few seconds. Anyone in it must make a constitution saving throw of 11. On a failure, a target takes 2d8 of poison damage and becomes poisoned and charmed. On a success a target only takes half the damage and is neither poisoned nor charmed.
  • The roots under up to 3 targets moves and make the ground shift. Target must make a dexterity saving throw of 13 or be knock prone and be grappled by nearby wines.
