Traits

Amorphous. The pudding can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

Drinking Vulnerability. A creature other than an ooze can attempt to drink a part of the ooze to gain the effect of a random potion. If a creature decides to do so, it must be within 5 feet of the pudding and make a Constitution (Sleight of Hand) check contested by the pudding's Dexterity or Strength check. On a success, it drinks a part of it, takes 10 (3d6) acid damage and gains the effect of a random potion as shown on the Living Potion table. If a creature already is under the effect of a potion, roll on the Mixing Potions table (DMG page 140) to determine what happens.

Also, when a creature drinks from it, the pudding's size is reduced by one category. If the pudding is tiny and a creature successfully drinks it, it disappears.

False Appearance. While the pudding remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a puddle of remnants of spilled potions.

Living Potion. At the start of each of its turns, the pudding gains the effects of one of the potions it was made up from, which lasts until the start of the pudding's next turn. To determine this effect, roll on the Living Potion table.

Actions

Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (3d6) acid damage and the target gains the effect of a random potion as shown on the Living Potion table. Description

Alchemists are well used to their experiments sometimes producing not the intended result - but rather going out with a big boom. In a rare case, when, as a result of this, potions or other alchemical substances with potion-like effects are spilled and noone cleans them up for a long period of time, they might eventually awaken and turn into an ooze-like creature known as a potion pudding.

For this reason, potion puddings are mostly found in ancient, long abandoned laboratories. It is not uncommon to find them alongside other creatures corrupted by the spilled liquids. When adventurers find a potion pudding, they often are unsure whether they should try to kill it or not - with a bit of luck, it might give them quite powerful magical buffs or even heal them.

Potions are generally meant to be consumed by drinking them :which leads to potion puddings having a weakness that is unique among oozes: they can be defeated by drinking them as if they were actual potions. To accomplish this, however, one first has to catch that glitchy, slithering thing and withstand its acidic properties.

Customization.

You can easily customize a potion pudding by choosing other potions it was made from, including homebrew potions. Just modify the table as you wish for your campaign.
