I Am Legion. For each Returned within 20 ft of Xarann, he gains a +2 bonus to his AC as well as a +1 to all attacks and saving throws made for each Returned within Range.

Spellcasting. Xarann is a 8th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 12, +5 to hit with spell attacks). Xarann has following Paladin spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): Eldritch Blast, Chill Touch
1st level (3 slots): Hellish Rebuke, Cause Fear, Arms of Hadar, Hex

2nd level (2 slots): Crown of Madness, Darkness, Hold Person

Actions

Multiattack. Xarann makes two Glaive attacks.

Xarann may only use Nightmare's Reach if a returned is within 5 ft of him and doing so kills the Returned as though it were a casting component.

Glaive. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) slashing damage, or 12 (1d12 + 5) slashing damage if used with two hands, plus 9 (2d8) necrotic damage.

Nightmare's Reach. RangedWeapon Attack: +5 to hit, range 90 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (3d10 + 5) Necrotic damage.

Syphon Life. If a Returned is within 5 ft of Xarann, he may use a bonus action to drain the life from the Returned to heal his wounds. Xarann regains (2d8 + 5) hit points.

Reactions

Xarann has two Reactions 

Meat Shield. If a creature would target Xarann with an attack or harmful spell and a Returned is within 5ft of Xarann, target attacking creature must make a dexterity saving throw (DC 18). On a failed save, the attack is redirected towards the Returned as Xarann maneuvers in such a way to avoid being hit. On a success the attack hits as normal.
