Living Alarm (20ft.). When a creature, the golem does not recognize, enters it's detection range the golem either emits a loud repeating chiming, or telepathically transmits a prerecorded message to the owner. Description
A 6 inch long golem crafted of clay to mimic a gecko. Used as a trip alarm by mages, this little golem finds small corners and crevices to hide and watch for uninvited guests. Even when detected it is usually ignored as an ordinary gecko by the inexperienced.
Golem Schematics. Should an individual come across a page defining the construction of this golem, they may attempt to craft one. The process is simple and can be done by most magical apprentices. The creator must inscribe the transmutation circle from the schematic onto a new page, this process takes 10 minutes and costs 50 gp. The creator then folds the circle and molds it into lump of clay. Once fully covered the page will be absorbed into the clay and will form into a gecko. The creator then must carve the word for "life" under the chin of the golem and take 10 minutes to cast one level 1 spell or higher into it. The golem will animate and be able to take directions from the creator. Possession of the golem can given away, when the creator/owner and a second creature both touch the gecko and the current owner says, "You now own my friend".
