Description

Atropus is an elder evil abomination from beyond the cosmos. As much a place as a being, Atropus is a small moon spinning through the void, waiting to be ensnared by a planet it passes. When it enters the gravitational pull of a world, Atropus slowly descends into the atmosphere, initially appearing as a tiny dot, which eventually grows into a small disc until it dominates the sky. Atropus appears as a large stone object, but from certain angles, it resembles a huge hairless head. When Atropus strikes a world, it causes a huge cataclysm that obliterates almost all life on the planet.

Atropus is not uninhabited, however. The moonlet is infested with undead conjured from the darkest nightmares, who claim its craters for themselves. The master of them all is the aspect of Atropus, a horrible extension of Atropus' foul will. The Aspect of Atropus is a headless humanoid creature with a fossilized body. Although Atropus may resemble a huge rock, it is actually a creature of primordial creature bent on the destruction of all things.
