Spider Climb. The spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the spider knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
Web Walker. The spider ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.
Legendary Resistance (2/Day). If the dragon fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.
Multiattack. The dragon makes one Bite attack and two Claw attacks and a Tail attack.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw, taking 26 (6d8) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the necrotic damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralyzed while poisoned in this way.
Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) slashing damage.
Tail. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 13 (2d6 + 6) bludgeoning damage.
Web (Recharge 5–6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 18 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 15; hp 15; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
Spider Breath (Recharge 5–6). The dragon exhales dozens of tiny spiders up to 60 feet away. Summon 9 (2d6 + 2) Swarm of Insects (Spiders) in an unoccupied space within range.
The dragon can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature’s turn. The dragon regains spent legendary actions at the start of its turn.
Tail Attack (Costs 1 Action). The dragon makes one Tail attack.
Web (Recharge 5-6) (Costs 3 Actions). If available, the dragon uses its Web attack.
Living Hive (Costs 2 Actions). The dragon summons 2 (1d4 - 1) Swarm of Insects (Spiders) in unoccupied spaces next to itself.

Regional Effects
The region containing an ancient or adult spider dragon’s lair is warped by the dragon’s magic, which produces one or more of the following effects:
-
Thick Webbing. A thick layer of webs covers the ground, walls and ceilings, which makes the area into difficult terrain within 6 miles of the lair if the dragon is ancient, or within 3 miles if the dragon is an adult.
-
Labyrinthian Web. The webs in the dragon's lair are built into a vast labyrinthian network requiring a DC 18 Wisdom (Survival) check for every 30 minutes traveled to properly navigate without getting lost (except by spiders and spider dragons). The labyrinth stretches 6 miles from the lair if the dragon is ancient, or 3 miles if the dragon is an adult.
-
Watchful Swarm. The Lair of the dragon is also home to a great many tiny spiders, always waiting to ambush lost prey. Whenever a creature or party of misbegotten adventurers becomes lost in the labyrinth by failing the Wisdom (Survival) check, 1d6 Swarm of Insects (Spiders) attempt to ambush the lost creatures.
If the dragon dies, these effects fade over the course of 1d10 days.
