Traits

Malicious Devotion. The fanatic has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, frightened or poisoned.

Undead Communication. The fanatic can understand anything mummies, zombies, and ghouls say as if they shared a language.

Spellcasting. The fanatic is a 5th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 12, +3 to hit with spell attacks). The fanatic has the following cleric spells prepared:

Cantrips (at will): thaumaturgy, toll the dead, resistance, guidance

1st level (4 slots): command, inflict wounds, detect magic

2nd level (3 slots): hold person, spiritual weapon

3rd level (2 slots): animate dead

Actions

Multiattack. The fanatic makes three attacks with its scimitar or four with its daggers.

+1 Dagger. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage.

+1 Scimitar. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 6 (1d6 + 3) slashing damage plus 2 (1d4) poison damage and the target must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw, taking an additional 9 (2d8) poison damage plus 5 (1d10) necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. If the target fails or succeeds on the saving throw, the target's Hit Point maximum is reduced by the amount of necrotic damage taken for one hour. Any effect that removes disease can allow a creature's hit point maximum to return to normal before that time passes.

Description

In the land of Graal, a massive cult worships a massive undead mummified dragon named Anoth-Zuul. The cult's leader, Revora, commands the massive dragon and convinces the members of the cult that their group works to balance power all across Graal. However, Revora actually has suprisingly power-hungry plans for the land she seemingly intends to "balance".

Though most of the cult's members are humans, some are half-elves, half-orcs, kenkus, and even githyanki. The cult also welcomes monstrous humanoids into its ranks, such as kobolds, goblinoids, orcs, yuan-ti purebloods, and lizardfolk, a long with legions of intelligent undead. Sometimes monstrous humanoids will be allowed to rank up as cultists (use the same statistics except add the Anoth-Zuul Cultist spell list), allowing Revora to add even more magical and physical might against those she wishes destroyed.
