Dead Fortitude. The armored husk is immune to disease and does not need food, water, air, or sleep.
Enhanced Strength. The armored husk's muscles are augmented by its power armor's hydraulics. It has advantage on all Strength checks and saves.
Reactive Armor. The power armor is coated with a special reflective paint, making energy-based attacks against the husk dangerous. Whenever the husk is attacked with an energy weapon or spell that requires an attack roll and the attack misses by more than 5, the attacker must instead make that same attack against themselves.
Overdrive (Recharge 6). The power armor activates its self-preservation protocols. For the next three rounds, the husk gains 10 feet to its movement speed and creatures that are hit by its slam must make a DC 17 Strength save or be thrown 10 feet and knocked prone.
Slam. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., 1 target. Hit: 15 (3d6 + 5) Bludgeoning damage.
Description
A towering suit of armor slowly shuffles your way, bearing the insignia of some long-forgotten military unit. As it comes into clearer view, its full nature is revealed. Sparks occasionally fly from a backpack fusion reactor and a hydraulic rig mounted all around the suit. A flat glass visor reveals a mostly-decomposed face that stares at you with eyeless sockets, and the massive hands of the suit are stained with the dried blood of past victims. As it comes within a certain distance, its labored breathing becomes tortured howling, and it stomps forth with an enthusiasm that says that it's eager to wet those hands once more.
The only thing keeping these corpses moving is a combination of extensive cybernetic modification and a necromantic virus that has somewhat suspended the degradation of organic tissue. The centers of the brain that control higher thought have been destroyed by the contagion, but the rest is pristine, merged with the chips required to control the suit, allowing for a higher level of intelligence than normally seen within hosts of the disease. To that effect, husks are part-zombie, part-malicious AI, which makes them especially abhorrent to the various zombie-hunting groups of the world. However, the ID chips in their bodies still function, meaning that government robots still recognize them as friendly, and they are known to ignore robots in return.
