Traits

Flyby. The warforged pteranodon doesn’t provoke an opportunity attack when it flies out of an enemy’s reach.

Light Step. When the warforged pteranodon is traveling alone for an extended period of time (one hour or more), it can move stealthily at a normal pace.

Sentry's Rest. When the warforged pteranodon takes a long rest, it must spend at least six hours in an inactive, motionless state, rather than sleeping. In this state, it appears inert, but it doesn’t render it unconscious, and it can see and hear as normal.

Warforged Resilience. The warforged pteranodon has advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and it has resistance to poison damage. It is immune to disease. It doesn't need to eat, drink, or breathe. In addition, it doesn't need to sleep and doesn’t suffer the effects of exhaustion due to lack of rest, and magic can’t put it to sleep.

Actions

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (2d4 + 1) piercing damage.

Description

This warforged pteranodon has origins unknown, but appears to have been created at some point to assist a warforged in battle. These flying reptiles have wingspans of 15 to 20 feet and typically dive for small marine prey, though they are opportunists and will attack any creature that appears edible. These flying reptilian cousins to the dinosaurs have no teeth and instead uses its sharp beak to stab prey too large to swallow with one gulp.
