Nature Walk. The avatar is not impeded by the effects of difficult terrain caused by overgrown plants or upturned earth and stone.
Multiattack. The avatar makes two Vine Lash attacks.
Vine Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 20 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) slashing damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC 15). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained. The plant has three vines, each of which can grapple one target.
Spellcasting. The avatar casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components and using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 13):
3/day: entangle, earth tremor
1/day: erupting earth
Blast of Nature Recharge 5-6. If the avatar is rooted, powerful nature magic blasts in a 15 foot radius centered on the avatar. Each creature in this area must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw, taking 21 (6d6) damage and falling prone on a failure, and taking half as much on success.
Take Root. If the avatar did not move on its turn, it plants it becomes rooted. While rooted, it is immovable and gains +2 to its AC. If a creature deals 10 or more damage to the avatar in a single hit or the avatar chooses to move, it becomes uprooted and looses these bonuses.
Description
The avatar of Tangaroa appears as a massive hulking form encassed in vines, leaves, thorns, and many other plant of the region it was spawned in.
