Traits

Amorphous. The Liquiform Weird can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

Grotesque Mannikin. the Liquiform Weird can have up to three Grotesque Mannikin attached to it by its pseudopod. Each Grotesque Mannikin can move no further then 120 feet of the liquiform weird.

A Grotesque Mannikin is a creature that died by the Liquiform Incursion. The liquiform weird has pumped liquiform into the creature and his animating it like a ragdoll. A Grotesque Mannikin can easily pass for a real person if looked from a distance higher then 60 feet. but is easily seen for what it is if it is seen from a closer range of 60 feet. The grotesque Mannikin move and acts like a stringed puppet, its eyes and head bobs in weird ways and its physical form seems a bit bloated like a balloon filled with water.

As long as the pseudopod is attached to the creature, the Liquiform weird has control over the creature. The pseudopod tether has an AC of 14 and 15 hit points, but it is severed if there is no opening at least 1 inch wide between the Liquiform Weird’s main body and the Grotesque Mannikin. If the pseudopod is severed, the liquiform inside the creature slowly drains and comes back to the original liquiform weird.

Actions

Multiattack. The Liquiform Weird makes three attacks in any combination of Pseudopods and Grotesque Mimicry. The Liquiform Weird cannot make more then three pseudopods at once.

Pseudopod. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning, and the target is Grappled (escape DC 18). Until this grapple ends, the pseudopod is attached to the creature. A creature can make a strength check (DC 18)  to remove the pseudopod.

Liquiform Incursion. A grappled creature makes a DC 18 Consitution saving throw or take 18 (4d8) poison damage and become poisoned for as long as the pseudopod is attached.On a success, the creature only takes half and is not poisoned. A creature that is reduced to 0 hit points by this incursion, becomes a grotesque Mannikin on the next turn. Constructs, oozes, plants, and undead succeed on the save automatically.

Grotesque Mimicry. the Liquiform Weird can command one of its grotesque Mannikin to move or attack with its weapon.

Reactions

Meat shield. The liquiform weird can move one of its grappled creatures in front of the attack. The liquiform weird reduces the damage taken by half and the creature takes the other half.

Description

A Liquiform Weird is a gelatineous pale red creature that can generate liquiform in its body. Liquiform is a watery substance that is poisonous to other living creatures and able the liquiform weird to eat and control creatures to attract the next meal. Liquiform acts like a drug that paralysdes the sensations and leaves only a sentiment of deep joy to the poisoned creature. The liquiform Weird pumps liquiform into the creatures body to digest the bones, leaving the creature inert and dead. but the liquiform inside can be manipulated byt he liquiform weird and filling the creature with more liquiform makes the creature resemble a balloon filled with water as the form just goes back up and acts strangely as the liquiform moves the creatures body with its tethers, almost like a water filled marionette.

While the weird can only possess three creatures at a time.it usually is intelligent enough to know to stay hidden and leave only his tethers out int he open in order to find the next meal. usually creatures walks on tethers without knowing it and become intoxicated by the joyous poison that seeps into their body. and then the creature makes good use of the body to try and attract further away meals.

While the tethers can go all the way up to 120 feet away from the liquiform weird. They dont have any strength pass the 15 feet mark. thus it uses the tethers only to command Grotesque Mannikins that it holds. In case it is found, it usually take the shortest route to avoid dangers and hide in the cracks until the threat is gone. if it has no choices. it will fight and will usually pick the biggest threat to remove with its liquiform incursion.

While liquiform weird usually have 1 or two mannikins at the ready. the mannikins still are dissolving by the liquiform inside and usually a mannikin would not hold more then a few days before its completely out of use. Liquiform weird can generate liquiform infinitely and have also been chased by drug dealers in order to make some powerful drugs. Liquiform is a dangerous substance that attacks bones and dissolves them. Ingesting the substance gives the users a sentiment of joy that last for a few minutes, but usually leaves the body failing if not taken care of after some repeated uses.

Creatures immune to poison usually are the one predator of the liquiform weird and the creature will avoid such contacts. either by cowering away if there is no chance of killing the creature, or by using mannikins to kill the predator.
