False Appearance. While the Akanak-grash remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a normal berry bush.

Light-rooted. The Akanak-grash does not trigger any berries left by its Bomb Berry attack.

Actions

Lash. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) bludgeoning damage.

Bomb Berry (1/Day). The Akanak-grash thrashes about scattering berries about in a 5 ft. radius centered on itself. Each creature that occupies the space of the berries, or moves onto a space occupied by berries, must make a DC: 14 Dexterity saving throw. On a success save, no effect occurs. On a failed save the creature triggers the berries on the spot they occupy, dealing 10 (2d8) fire damage to all creatures within 5 ft. and knocks the creature prone. The damage from this attack does not activate other Bomb Berries caught in the radius.

Description

This unassuming monster appears to be an ordinary berry bush until it's too late. Feared among many goblinoids and aptly named "Attacking Grass" the Akanak-grash lures prey in with appealing berries and attacks unsuspecting creatures when they're close and off guard. The roots of it seem to pull it forward slowly underground dragging the rest of the bush-like upper part of it with it. Though it has many branches and leaves on its upper body it appears to only have one limb which it uses to lash out at anything that comes close. The berries it uses to entice creatures with are actually filled with a liquid substance it creates within itself. Once exposed to air the liquid expands rapidly and ignites causing a small scale explosion.
